    Research project - 8 sources required.

    You will write a précis on 4 of the 8 sources; see assignment sheet for due dates.

    You will need at least one print source, and may locate additional sources through Gale, Ebscohost, or LexisNexis.

     

    Brainstorm! Select one of the marginalized groups listed below (or another group that you think of) and create a mindmap (visual brainstorm) of ideas and/or events associated with that group and their struggle to achieve the American dream. Struggles may include but are not limited to: a struggle for equal rights, a struggle for compensation (good jobs, good pay), a struggle for representation in government, a struggle to overcome negative or limiting stereotypes, a struggle for recognition for contributions to culture and community. You may want to look up the group on a general information source like Wikipedia or Britannica online to jumpstart your thought process.

      How Many Sources Do I Need? What is required?

      Minimum of 8 sources in the following categories (plus 1 book of your choosing):

      1. NO GENERAL ENCYCLOPEDIAS
        • This includes wikipedia, worldbook, britannica, etc.
      2. You will have a variety of intellectual difficulty (some journal articles, some newspaper articles, some websites, etc.)
      3. You will use a diversity of sources (don't use just one database, use several, use the government websites, etc.)
