What to Do

  1. Use a general encyclopedia to get background/overview info on your topic. You cannot use a general encyclopedia as one of your 6 sources.
  2. Build a list of keywords.  Use more than one keyword!  A database is also a great way to find keywords.
  3. Once you understand your topic and have some keywords, you can start searching.

Research Requirements

Minimum of 8 sources in the following categories:

  1. NO GENERAL ENCYCLOPEDIAS
    • This includes wikipedia, worldbook, britannica, etc.
  2. You will have a variety of intellectual difficulty (some journal articles, some newspaper articles, some websites, etc.)
  3. You will use a diversity of sources (don't use just one database, use several, use the government websites, etc.)
  4. Books may be older.  Everything else must be 2007 or more recent.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  5. You need to include ACTUAL CHEMISTRY IN YOUR PROJECT.

Three of the 8 sources you use in your annotated works cited MUST also be used in your podcast.  You may add to them, but you may not use less than the 8 you have chosen.  See the noodlebib section for full details on annotation requirements.
